The Victorian premier Daniel Andrews announced on Sunday 19th of September 2021, an extension to current lockdown restrictions which will be lifted once 70% of Victorian adults are fully vaccinated against Covid-19, anticipated around 26 October 2021.
As a result, the current restrictions on all dental practices will continue until Victoria reaches the 70% vaccination threshold.
Dental practitioners are only permitted to provide dental services to patients with urgent needs or care where failure to do so in a clinically appropriate timeframe will lead to adverse outcomes. These restrictions are part of the Restricted Activity Directions issued by the Victorian Government under the authority of the Public Health and Wellbeing Act 2008 (Vic).
As Braceless Choice does not deliver what is considered “emergency” dental services, we will be unable to see patients Face-to-Face during this lockdown period. Any changes to this directive, will be provided by the ADAVB.
However, if parents of our patients are concerned or require support during this time, please send us an email to email@example.com, clearly outlining your concern/s. We will then make an assessment and provide a response with our recommendation to address your concern.
As soon as government restrictions are lifted, we will be in touch with all families affected during this lockdown period, to reschedule their appointments.
In the meantime, stay safe, stay well and please get tested if you are experiencing any symptoms.
