COVID-19 Update

The Victorian Government announced the current lockdown in Victoria will end at 11.59 pm Tuesday 27 July 2021. This means that dental practices in metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria will be able to return to Level 1 dental restrictions, seeing patients Face-to-Face.

Under Level 1 restrictions, non-urgent dental treatment should still be deferred for patients with clinical symptoms suggestive of COVID-19.

To comply with the easing the COVID – 19 restrictions to Level 1, Braceless Choice will be reopening for face-to-face appointments for both new and existing patients from 28th of July 2021.

For those existing patients who are uncomfortable to have a face-to-face appointment, we will offer Zoom (technology) sessions for Buteyko and OMT therapy.

To ensure that we fully comply with COVID-19 Level 1 dental restrictions we kept changes made in previous period of restrictions. We have made changes to the practice’s physical environment, introduced additional infection control precautions, developed new patient guidelines and all practitioners & dental personnel will be wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) including face mask, during the consultation.

It is important to screen patients prior to attendance at the dental clinic. Patients should be screened for possible COVID-19 symptoms, and possible attendance at any exposure sites. Practices should continue to defer all non-urgent dental care for patients who have symptoms consistent with COVID-19 or who have been at an exposure site.

Upon arrival at the practice, all patients will be required to check-in with QR code, the question related to Covid-19 will be asked, all patients and their parents will have their temperature taken on their forehead using a laser thermometer. The accompanying parent, family member and children over age 12y will be required to wear Face Mask at all time in the practice.
